How to Clean Your Keurig | DIY Cleaning Tips

Can you start your day and function like a normal human being without coffee? If your answer is yes, well good for you! Ever since I can remember, I always greet my mornings with a nice cup of coffee. Am I a coffee addict? Probably. I just can’t seem to function properly and get everything in order without a cup of joe. That’s why when we bought our Keurig coffee maker, it was heaven. I don’t think I can ever live without it. I may be exaggerating a bit but it seems true enough for me.

As convenient as having a coffee maker is, you still have to clean it up. You can’t expect to have great tasting coffee all the time if you haven’t cleaned it for a month. So if you’re thinking that cleaning your Keurig is complicated, think again. This easy DIY tutorial will show you how easy it is to have a clean Keurig all the time.

Now to detach the K cup holder and funnel. Be very careful when removing this since there’s a sharp needle at the end.

Step 3

To clean the lid, just get a damp cloth and wipe it. For the rest of the parts that you took apart, they’re dishwasher safe. So just put them on the top rack and that’s it.

TIP: If you don’t have a dishwasher, you can soak everything in warm soapy water for about 15 minutes. After that just wipe everything with a sponge or rag, rinse and dry with a towel.
