I wasted so much money buying Yeti and other mugs… so happy I got recommended this product. I tend to take a while to drink my coffee or tea in the mornings and have recently stopped enjoying it because it gets so cold so quickly, especially now that it’s wintertime. But I pour it into the Zojirushi mug…. holy cow! It stays HOT. Even after 3+ hours when I forget I even had coffee, I’ll take a sip and it’s still incredibly warm.
I’ve started to enjoy my morning coffee again because I don’t have to worry about it going stale and cold.
I have a number of these in both 12 oz and 16 oz, some of them are several years old and they’re all still in great shape. I use them all of the time. I wash them in the upper rack of the dishwasher. I’ve never had any peeling paint or anything like that.
They are leak-proof to toss in your purse unless you over-pressurize them by putting carbonated liquid in them. If you put soda in them and your purse is getting swung around, they could leak. But they don’t leak coffee or anything that’s not carbonated. I just fill them up and toss them around and don’t worry about it.
They’re great quality. And it’s amazing how well they hold the temperature of whatever you put in them. Boiling or iced – it stays that way. Be careful – I’ve burnt my tongue on hot coffee hours after putting it into one of these!
