Cottage Garden Easter in the Holiday Cupboard

admin

Hi Friends, Springtime is non-stop fun in the Holiday Cupboard. First comes Valentine's Day... then St. Patrick's Day ...and now Easter. The green transferware and Ivy dishes are still here from St. Patty's, so they make a pretty "garden-y" base, dish display for the pastels of early Spring and Easter. I added a few pieces of my French faience to bring in some florals along with a gorgeous tulip pitcher, my vintage cauliflower teapot, cabbage veggie tureen, and a majolica rabbit themed pitcher.

This Spring the Holiday Cupboard is filled with a vintage garden vibe.
There are flowers, veggies, and bunnies with garden tools.

The little candy molds are reproduction, but they look old to me.
I found the twine carrots at the vintage market as a garland,
but the garland didn't work here on the cupboard so I just separated them
so I could place them around the dish displays.

80's Easter basket fun from when my girls were little.

I did some Internet sleuthing about this pretty little lusterware pitcher. I wasn't sure what it was or where it was made. I wasn't even sure it was a vintage piece, but it seems it's "Leuchtenburg Porcelain" from Germany. The marking is faint and I guess I'd never taken the time to search it out. Not sure how old it is but it's in good condition. It has an interesting embossed pattern across the top. I love the vibrant spring colors of the tulips.

Beatrix Potter inspired boy and girl bunny gardeners...

Sorry these are so washed out, I just couldn't get good pics inside this shelf.

I haven't used this grapevine wreath for a while.
The forsythia and lilacs together are a bit blinding,
but a totally authentic riotous display of color. So typical of Spring.

Here's a peek of the sitting area of the Garden Room
with the wonderful ironstone pitcher full of real forsythia branches.
I'll be sharing the rest of the Garden Room next week.
