Meal Prep & Menu Plan for December 5 2022

Admin

This post contains affiliate links. I used to share our menu plan for what I planned to make for the week, but I changed that a few years ago to reflect what we actually eat, so these posts are coming to you from a week or two prior to now.  I wanted to keep it real.  This week’s menu plan is very real.  My kids got nasty colds starting on Sunday.  They were down and out for a few days with fevers, and they really didn’t want to eat anything.  So, my husband and I ate a lot of leftovers, and there weren’t a lot of actual meals being served this week.  Here’s our meal prep and menu plan for December 5, 2022.

Meal Prep

This week’s meal prep didn’t take place on the weekend but on Wednesday, when one of my daughters finally wanted to eat something and requested Blueberry Baked Oatmeal.  (I made the krispy treats for myself.  It had been a long few days stuck in the house with sick kids watching a lot of Netflix with them.)

Menu Plan

Saturday

Lunch–Turkey Sandwiches with BBQ sauce, homemade french fries, carrot sticks
Dinner–Asian noodles

Sunday

Lunch–Miso Pork Chops, baked potatoes, salad
Dinner–Steak, potatoes, roasted cauliflower, cucumber slices

Wednesday

Lunch–Tuna Melt Sandwiches (the girls were finally feeling good enough to eat some real food), tomato soup
Dinner–Chipotle (the girls’ request, and they ate it right up)

Thursday

Lunch–Easy Vegetable Beef Soup,
Dinner–Spaghetti,

Friday

Lunch–leftover spaghetti
Dinner–sloppy joes, chips, coleslaw
