Monthly Stock Up Haul!

admin

Hello everyone and welcome back to another blog post on ~Foodie with a Passion~! Happy Saturday everyone and I hope the weekend is treating you well. This week was my monthly Fred Meyer Military Shopping Day. I didn’t buy that much this time since we’re going on vacation next week but things that we could keep in the freezer and pantry for when we come back. But before we get started, remember to click subscribe so you don’t miss another Foodie Fun 🤩

So I couldn’t get everything at Fred Meyer so on Friday, I also picked up some things at QFC too. They’re currently running their promotion for their simple truth natural and organic so I was able to get a lot of those plus the military discount.

Dairy
  • Kroger Heavy Cream – one of the staples I always have in the fridge. I’ll use these for scrambled eggs, mashed potatoes, Alfredo sauce, country gravy etc
  • Kroger Monterey Jack Cheese – I have a variety of snacking cheese in the freezer; I just added this to the collection. Plus we’ll do white chicken chili soon so we’ll use white cheese
  • Kroger Italian, Mozzarella and Pizza Shreds – for the pizzas and pasta bakes this month
  • Kroger Provolone Slices – I want a Hubby to make us Philly Cheesesteaks again
  • Low-Fat Vanilla Yogurt – for Hubby’s smoothies
  • Dannon Light n Fit Strawberry Cheesecake – on sale for $1.47. Safeway sells the strawberry cheesecake and raspberry lemon tart combo pack but if it’s on sale, I’m getting it
  • Noosa Strawberry Rhubarb and Blackberry – I had a coupon for $1 off for buying two. And it was on sale 3/$5 too
Meat and Frozen
  • Jennie-O Lean Ground Turkey (3lb) – I had a $5 off coupon that I forgot to use but the customer service refunded me $5 cash. I split these in 1lb vacuum sealed bags and freezer them
  • Kroger Shaved Pork – my Japanese friend recommended this for me. Thin meats are used often in Japanese cooking
  • Kroger Tater Rounds – my freezer staple of Tater Tots. Probably going to have some with the Philly Cheesesteaks in the near future
  • Simple Truth Edamame & Mixed Vegetables – I had a coupon for the ST brand. Edamame for side dishes when I make Japanese food and mixed veggies for fried rice
  • Birds Eye Brussels Sprouts & Italian Style Power Blend – I also had coupons for this brand. An easy side with dinner or meal prep
  • Kroger Broccoli and Cauliflower & Peppers and Onions – and another coupon for the Kroger brand as well. The peppers and onions will come in handy when peppers are too expensive
Produce
  • Napa Cabbage – I used up the last of it and I hadn’t bought any so I replenished
  • Tomato – for sandwiches and salads this week
  • Cucumber – also for salads and sandwiches this week
  • Kroger Sliced Mushrooms – my friend used some for dinner when she made us a Japanese casserole
  • Simple Truth Organic 50/50 Salad Mix – salad mix for the week since I’ll be meal prepping salads
  • Driscoll’s Raspberries – one cent cheaper than the 2/$5 for the smaller pack
  • Bananas – I’ve been on a a banana kick lately with peanut butter
Pantry
  • Simple Truth Peanuts Peanuts – my bag of peanuts for the month. I’ve been among my homemade granola so I have to make sure I have it
  • Kroger Onion Soup Mix – this is always good to have. We put it in our burgers/meatloaf/meatballs. Other than that, I like making Roasted potatoes with this
  • Kroger Ranch Dip Mix – I’ll be using this for White Chicken Chili soon
  • Onions (this got missed in the produce picture) – 3 onions to use the coupon. Some months, 3 is enough and other months it’s not enough
  • Kroger Canola Oil – we were almost out of the current one so I decided to replenish
  • Simple Truth Organic Colombian Coffee Pods – for my office; they only have dark roast in our break room
  • Kroger Flour Tortillas Soft Taco Style – this is the regular one (mine is low-carb). For Hubby’s breakfast burritos
QFC Supplemental Haul
  • Driscolls Strawberries – on sale 2/$5. I will freeze the raspberries and snack on these for the week
  • Kroger Country Pork Ground Sausage – BOGO with a coupon. Fred Meyer had it cheaper per package but this actually ended up even cheaper. I’ll use one for breakfast burritos and eventually I’ll make pie crust and make quiche with this
  • Simple Truth Organic Silk and Firm Tofu – they were all out at Fred Meyer but QFC had some. The boys don’t really eat tofu but they’ll eat it if they have no choice 🤣
  • Birds Eye Crispy Green Beans – and lastly I had a coupon for Birds Eye but what I got at Fred Meyer wasn’t a qualifying product so I checked which one counted and got these green beans

And there we have it! Let me know in the comments below what you picked up at the store this week and until then…signing off!
