My Big List of Goals I’m Going to Accomplish in 2022 Week 49 of 52

Admin

Here’s my big list of things I want to accomplish in 2022:

Remodel The Kitchen

After an exhaustive research, the HH finally decided on an espresso machine for the kitchen. He hardly ever buys anything for himself so this was a big deal for him.

Well, to make a long story short, the machine arrived on Friday and after unpacking the thing for like half an hour, he discovered a part was missing {of course it was!} and now he has to wait for the new part to arrive before he can test out his new toy.

Lame.

Sell Enough Rugs to Buy an AGA Stove DONE!!!

I hit my goal of selling enough of my 2022 hooked rugs and pillows in my Etsy shop to pay for my new Duck Egg Blue AGA cooker. But since the stove was damaged… We have to wait until the end of May 2023 for the new one to arrive.

Fill the Canning Cupboard DONE

Note to self: Can triple the amount of apple pie filling next year. I’ve been making so many cranberry and apple galettes lately, that I’m down to just 4 jars.

Also, I need to make a plan to use up all that jam before next canning season.

So far this year I have canned:

Not canned, but in jars:

Earn Enough Money Selling {?????} To Pay For Our 2022 Grocery Tab By The End Of The Year.

I’ve decided to move this goal to 2023.

I just didn’t have enough time to devote to this goal this year. I had planned on making a few spinner gourd garlands this year for fall, but there is just too much other stuff going on right now to make it a priority.

Eat More Fruits and Vegetables.

Lot’s of butternut squash this past week.

Keep The Crafts… In The Craft Room.

It was another successful week of keeping the crafts out of the dining room. And as a side note, we’ve decided to use the horrid leg lamp as our Christmas tree this year.

Tap Our 2 Maple Trees and Make Maple Syrup {DONE}

It was a good experience, and we’re going to do it again next year {although I would like to find a few more trees to tap so our yield is a bit higher}.

Make a Quilt Top

My cut quilt squares and quilting fabric for the background have been shipped off my friend Zoë. Her sewing calendar is pretty full right now, but she has me on her list for January.

1 Craft / Blog Free Day a Week {I’ve had 49 craft/blog free days this year so far.}

I took yesterday off and had myself a pajama day. 🙂

Be More Intentional With My Time

One of the things I want to do this winter is more bread making, so I bought myself a baguette pan. Winter soups and homemade bread… I can’t think of a better combination.

Keep My Husband Busy

It’s all about keeping the house warm these days. Luckily, I know a guy. 😉

The HH’s Honey Do List {so far} for 2022

  • Take over cooking {I’ll still do the baking and canning}
  • Cut down the cluster of trees in the backyard DONE
  • Build a new set of stairs down to the water.

My House Projects For This Year {so far}

I was going to finish the little bit of painting that still needs to be done but ended up working on a few new recipes and rug hooking projects this past week instead.

Also, I’ve discovered as I’ve gotten older, that if I don’t get a project I’m not especially excited about done early in the morning, then I might as well forget about it for the day.

Things I need to get done this year:

  • Finish painting the outside of the house
  • Finish painting the inside of the house
  • Make something to hang above our new console table
  • Make it look like people actually live here {working on it!}
  • New window treatment for the kitchen window {Have it, just waiting for the HH to install it}

Try 24 New Recipes DONE

I shared my recipe for eggnog pound cake this past week.

So far this year I have shared the following recipes:

Listen to 12 Audiobooks {13/12 so far} DONE

Visit 12 Towns in Maine That I Haven’t Been to Before

This past week the HH and I visited the town of Bath, Maine and had a blast. We loved walking downtown {I’ll tell you all about it soon} and even went down some of the residential side streets and picked up something to eat at the local bakery.

I can’t believe it took us so long to check out the town! We loved it.

So far we’ve visited:
