The Best Honey Garlic Pork Chops Recipe

Admin

Honey garlic pork chops such a simple way to create juicy pork chops in the most amazing honey garlic sauce. Sure to be a crowd-pleaser!

Honey Garlic Pork Chops

This honey garlic pork chops recipe is my new favorite easy dinner for a busy weeknight or a Sunday afternoon when I want a home cooked meal with minimal effort. Pork chops are one of my favorite things to cook, and this delicious recipe creates a flavorful sauce with only minutes of prep time.

If I’m short on time, a little trick is to use boneless thin-cut pork chops, which cook in a fraction of the time of the larger bone-in chops.

This easy recipe brings together Asian flavors with minimal ingredients. The sticky honey garlic sauce perfectly coats the pork with a hint of garlic and the sweetness of honey. If you prefer a little spice you can add red pepper flakes and garnish with green onions. Searing the meat quickly on both sides results in the most tender pork chops and is the perfect way to create a quick healthy meal the whole family will enjoy.

I prefer to serve this dish over white rice, but you can serve it with mashed potatoes, cauliflower rice, or brown rice. Need a side to go with this dish? Try my Air Fryer Green Beans, Air Fryer Asparagus, or Air Fryer Broccoli.

Honey Garlic Pork Chops Ingredients

Honey Garlic Pork Chops Ingredients

  • 4 Pork Chops – Both bone-in pork chops or boneless pork chops work with this recipe.
  • Fresh Herbs – I love the adding fresh rosemary and thyme to my dry rub when it’s available, but if you don’t have them on hand, dried herbs will work just as well.
  • Olive Oil – A few tablespoons to sear the meat, butter will also work in a pinch.
  • Seasonings – Besides the standard salt & black pepper, I use garlic powder as well as fresh garlic in this recipe
  • Minced Garlic – I like to use fresh garlic cloves for this recipe, but jarred will work just as well.
  • Honey – This will give the pork chops a sweet note, and also create a saucy glaze.
  • Rice Wine Vinegar – if you don’t have this, you can substitute apple cider vinegar.
  • Soy Sauce – This adds an extra depth to the sauce. I prefer to use low sodium soy sauce. Coconut Aminos is also a great substitute.

How to Make Honey Garlic Pork Chops

Make sure to take your pork chops out of the  refrigerator 20-30 minutes before cooking. Pat the pork chops dry with a paper towel and season all over with salt, pepper and garlic powder. In a small bowl, combine honey, garlic, vinegar and soy sauce. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet or cast iron pan on medium heat.

Place pork chops in a single layer in the pan and sear on one side for 3-4 minutes until golden brown, then flip pork chop and reduce heat to medium. Pour honey garlic mixture over the pork chop and cook for an additional 4-5 minutes.

Using a meat thermometer the Internal temperature of the pork should be 145ºF. Let the pork rest for a few minutes before serving.

I am using the cast iron Always pan. I’ve had it for a few months now and it is my favorite pan for searing meats.
