Oven Baked Chicken Breast for Two
[TAG0] Chicken is something I eat a lot of. I try to only eat red meat very rarely. Maybe only once or twice a month. The rest of the time I eat chicken, or fish, or no protein at all.Chicken used to be a fairly cheap protein, at least in the UK. I have found it to be fairly expensive here in Canada, but not quite as expensive as beef, which is extortionate in price!Having said that, it is not at all unusual to pay almost $10 for two boneless skinless chicken breasts, which to me seems like a lot...

3 Anti-Inflammatory Ways To Enjoy Za’atar, a Flavorful Middle Eastern Spice Blend Bursting With Bone Health Benefits
Long before I started to cook, I knew how important it was to spice up your life… courtesy of Baby, Scary, Sporty, Ginger, and Posh. Gratuitous Spice Girls mention aside, in terms of spice in the culinary sense, I actually only began to make my own meals when I moved to Tel Aviv after college. I was fortunate enough to live a few blocks away from Shuk HaCarmel—the city’s famous open-air food market—and one of the first spices I added to my pantry was za’atar: a delicious, earthy blend I enjoyed in some of my favorite Middle Eastern dishes. Truth...
Iraqi Stewed Shrimp
I created a tasty dish using Baharat and shrimp some time ago. This dish is not an authentic Iraqi recipe, but it might be if it were done with chunks of fish filets added the last 5-7 minutes of cooking instead of using shrimp. Being land-locked, Iraq doesn’t have access to shellfish other than down on the small coastline along the Persian Gulf. I like to call this creation ‘Iraqi gumbo’. It certainly reminds me of gumbo in appearance, although not much like Louisiana gumbo in flavor. This shrimp entrée really delivers on flavor. Hope you’ll try it and...
