In the name of keeping it real: I’m just going to, well, keep it real.

I don’t like cranberry sauce. I prefer my cranberries in the form of cranberry gluten free paleo almond butter cookies or cranberry orange energy bites 😉

Sure, I LIKE homemade cranberry sauce on my turkey and on my easy gluten free stuffing. But you know what I like better?

Ketchup.

And now you’re judging me and about to leave. That’s okay, more ketchup for me. gluten free stuffing. That I just leave plain Jane AS IS. No one messes with my carbs. Not even my love for ketchup.

BUT, Mr. FFF? He LOVES cranberry sauce so I have been wanting to try making a cranberry sauce without sugar so all my diabetic friends can enjoy it this Thanksgiving!

PLUS, I had to test the recipe A LOT, so now we have it coming out of our ears and I’ve had to be creative and find ways to enjoy it and I’m just telling you right now: put it in your oatmeal. You’re welcome.

Are Cranberries Keto?

You probably think no, since they are a fruit. But, cranberries are low in carbs and high in fiber which actually makes them keto friendly!

Not that I worry about keto, but a lot of you do. If that is you, I do highly recommend you check out my philosophy on food!

Low Carb Sugar Free Keto Cranberry Sauce Ingredients

The ingredient list to make our own sugar free cranberry sauce is SUPER simple and very short:

  • Water
  • Powdered erythritol (NOT granular)
  • Cranberries

Yep. That is it and then Thanksgiving magic is YOURS for the taking!

How to make Low Carb Keto Cranberry Sauce

Just like the ingredients list, the way to make this low carb cranberry sauce could not be easier:

Mix

Mix the water and erythritol in a large pot.

Boil

Bring the mixture to a boil on high heat.

Stir

Stir in one bag of cranberries and bring it back up to a rolling boil.

Simmer

Once boiled, reduce the heat to medium low and simmer until the sauce is thickened and the cranberries are mostly burst, this takes about 30 minutes.

Let stand

Let it stand on the counter until it’s come down to room temperature and then chill until you’re ready to use!

Don’t worry friends, it thickens up a lot as it cools and it will go that perfect thick and sticky texture that any good cranberry sauce needs to have!

I know I won’t be using this low carb sugar free keto cranberry sauce this Thanksgiving but just means more for Mr. FFF right?

Low Carb Sugar Free Keto Cranberry Sauce

This Low Carb Sugar Free Keto Cranberry Sauce is only 3 ingreidents and SO easy to make! It's better than store bought, naturally gluten free and healthy!

  • 2 Cups Water
  • 1 Cup Powdered Erythritol ((I use Swerve))
  • 1 12 oz Bag Fresh cranberries
  1. Combine the water and erythritol in a LARGE pot on high heat and stir together. Bring the a boil.

  2. Once boiling, add in the cranberries and bring back to a boil.

  3. Once boiling, reduce the heat to medium low and simmer until most of the berries have burst, about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  4. Remove from heat and let stand until the sauce reaches room temp, stirring occasionally.

  5. Once cool, cover and refrigerate until ready to use.

  6. DEVOUR
